Default Sense of in-game community?

I think one weakness of GW is the sense of in-game community.

-One reason is people cannot join others after other has started

-people who already started cannot come out and help others without needed to restart everything that has been done in progress

-Often people belong to a guild cannot parcipiate GvG because either not enough people (small guild) or GvG are locked out by those 'core' players (large guild)

I am looking for some suggestion that can help out those problem. I think a "dynamic joining instance" or "perserve started instance" and "24/7 siege with free join and left" may partially solve some of those problems.

you got any ideas?

I think the alliance addition in Factions will help alot with GvG problems. and the ability to make Guild halls like towns. well... thats coming too.... so a large alliance of many small guilds will potentually have several places to hang out for finding their friends to play with. Without having to disrupt too much other activities going on... I do like the idea of having a few checkpoints in a large Elite mission like say between matches or 1/2 way through an area like the underworld... someplace where you can recoup and regroup if needed... time will tell. Its not too bad right now, but some minor tweaking may bring more options for more people in the future.

It sounds like you may need a better guild if they are locking you out of the core gvg group. Find one that meets with your play style and needs.

You'll get some more pvp opitons in Factions, but I doubt you'll ever see join in progress missions. Especially since most people fill the party for missions. I think leaving and coming back would be a balance breaker. What happens to DP? What about changing skills mid mission? Those things seem bad to me.

It would be nice if you could reconnect if you dropped. I think I have seen where they are looking into that.
